The Orange Thimble is one of those cafes which infuse something new into something old. Nestled along eng hoon street, a tiong bahru district populated by mostly senior citizens, the cafe is becoming quite a gem for both the young and old, seeking something different from the regular Starbucks or TCCs. It’s concept of an Art cafe is chic-cool akin to those bohemian cafe culture in Melbourne. We like it here very much!

“The Puss In Rack”

Van She our cat is turning 4 this coming 27 Nov.

In his subliminal meowings I have heard him say that it’s been a great 3 years staying with us humans in a sheltered home, with great furniture for him to claw, cuddle up to be stroked at, gnashing his alien-like teeth on ntuc plastic bags filled with anchovies, and mostly leaving bite-marks and scratches onto my arms.

He said something like he thinks I’m his brother that was chosen by the gods to be transformed to a tall human. Taller than him. But that didn’t deter him at all cos he said he’s much faster than me when playing catching and hide and seek.

Such is my world with this animal living in my house now. My wife calls him “baboosh-kah” sometimes. He’s got a pink nose and doesn’t believe much in bathing and brushing his teeth. He sometimes try to harmonize his voice with the sound of my bass guitar noodlings on the living room sofa. Oh well, I love my cat.
